Lifestyle Shoots

Lifestyle Shoots are my passion! This type of shooting allows me to focus on YOU, my clients, and enables me to capture your family as you truly are. I love to just hang out with you and your family for a couple of hours, and capture the ways you interact with one another. While I may offer a tid bit of advice on posing, you will rarely hear me tell you or your children how to sit, stand, or look!

While we are shooting, I only have one request — please do NOT  “Say Cheese!” Why? My goal is to capture your child and your family as you truly are — real expressions, natural smiles, laughter, and even the silly’s! So I ask, please do not prompt your child to “Say Cheese”! In not doing so, you will enable to me to capture the expressions and smiles you know and love!

On another note … full tummies keep kiddos happy! If your session is scheduled around a time where your child would normally have their snack time, please bring it along! Chewy fruit snacks, grapes, carrot sticks, animal crackers, or graham crackers are great, as they are not too messy! Don’t forget the baby wipes!

Where to Shoot

Most of my sessions are done in the great outdoors … I just love shooting in natural light. Before your shoot, I will work with you to choose a location in which you and your family are comfortable. This could be in your home, at a favorite park, a special place, a local coffee shop, the beach, or even downtown. If you need help in choosing a location, I know of a few places that are fun, familiar, and inviting, in which we can shoot – just ask!

After the Shoot

Approximately 2-3 weeks after your shoot, I will place your photographs in a private online gallery for you to view, which you are encouraged to share with friends and family. These images are the BEST + they are ALL artistically enhanced! Shortly after your gallery is live, you will receive your custom CD in the mail, along with a reproduction release that will allow you to reproduce the images for PERSONAL use ONLY.

The Unexpected

If the unexpected interferes with your shoot date … I would be happy to reschedule your shoot! All I ask, is that you give me a quick call or e-mail to let me know!

If your child or other family member is sick or not feeling well, simply give me a quick call  or e-mail so that I can reschedule your session. Being a mother of two little girls, I understand that sometimes children get sick, or simply are not feeling up to having their pictures taken. I want you and your child(ren) to enjoy our photo session, and a sick family member is sure to be miserable during the shoot.
