My friend Laurie introduced me to her neighbor lady, Aimee, when she and her husband were expecting their first baby. Why we didn’t do a maternity shoot is beyond me! Anyhow, their little boy, Grady, was born less than 6 months ago! When I first met the little guy, I was pleasantly surprised — he was the quietest, happiest baby I’d laid eyes on (aside from Robyn, my 6 year old). I had dropped the girls off to hit the gym, and there was Grady, chillin’ in his carseat, quiet as could be, just exploring the world around him with his big blue eyes! He was so tiny … not quite the case anymore. He’s not 6 months yet, but he sure fooled me! His eyes … his cheeks … oh, he’s a doll!
Now, nearing 6 months later, we finally got around to taking this little guy’s pictures! When we first wanted to do his newborn photos, poor Grady had a nasty case of jaundice — he was sooo orange! So, we waited … and waited … and waited. Then, we decided this past weekend would be the perfect time for a shoot (they had family in town too — stay tuned, grandma and grandpa get their own blog post) … Aimee had been exploring the base we live on, and happened upon this hidden gem of an area! What used to be “Flinstone” houses, the first housing aboard NAS Lemoore, was now leveled, with walking trails, shady trees, playground, and picnic tables. It was the perfect out of the way area to take pictures! Of course, the day we choose was blazing hot, but the shade made it not so bad! This area is so quiet … which was perfect for little Grady. Enough jabber … here’s a sneak peak at the shoot!

Gorgeous Jaime! And what a cute little guy!
Jaime you did an awesome job!!! These pictures are WONDERFUL.
Wow! Do his blue eyes “pop” in the first photo. Just seeing his picture makes my heart swell. Can’t wait to give him a squeeze. Nice work everyone.
