Merwins | 2009 | Part Deuce

A quick blog for the fabulous Merwins!!! The first part of their shoot was at their home — completely awesome backdrop there!!! It was a blast … but we had to get some beach shots too! It never fails that when I am in Pacifica, the fog rolls on in! :( By the time we hit the beach, it had lifted high enough, but the skies were cloudy.Go figure — I just can’t win while I’m up there!!!

But, never fear … high ISO’s are here! :) I was shooting in M as usual … cranked the ISO on my cam to around 400, and used my on-cam flash for tid-bit of fill light, which I rarely do, but it worked fabulously in combination with Topaz’s Denoise software!!! The images are crystal clear and noise free! Yay!

So, Will really, really, really wanted to take a picture with one of his toys … and of course, it was a sword! lol Well, since he was so good, we all said what the hay?!?! Here’s Will + Fam …

Goin’ Out With My Boots On …

I recently went to see Phil Vassar with none other than Sara, just Sara, a very phenomenal gal!! After the show, we listened to some of her tunes … among which, included songs by these radtastically amazing guys, Randy Houser + Jamey Johnson, who I’d really been diggin’. Both are singer/songwriter/musicians that I have sorta been following, and I totally love, love, love their voices! Turns out, he + Randy were planning a visit to the area. Not only were they putting on a show in my neck of the woods, but talso at my FAVE cozy concert venue … the Fox Theatre! This place is so cozy, fun, warm, and personal — everything I totally love! Anyway, she asked if I wanted to tag along (DUH!!!) … but the tickets weren’t all that … just … the FRONT ROW! LOL Now, front row at The Fox?? Yeah, it’s as close as you can get without being right on stage — well, you’re feet WILL touch! :) Here’s Sara in workin’ the front row –

The show was just this past Thursday … and the house was ROCKIN!!! Umm … until midnight … and the show started round 8pm … and went on 2 hours after it shoulda … but I am NOT complaining! It was sooo RAD! :) Anyhow, it was totally fun …. here’s some shots from the nigh …

Merwins | Pacifica | 2009

So, I had a phantastic fam shoot up in Pacifica recently, and let me tell you … it was a hoot! The couple has a 6 year old little boy, cute as can be, with the most adorable freckles. He was SO much fun! Master of the silly faces … and pretty much master of anything “boy” … lol He is awesome! Well, here’s a sneak peak at this rockin’ trio!!!
