VFA-113 “The Stingers” | Welcome Home + A Proposal!!!

Wow! Not only did VFA-113 … “The Stingers” come in from a 5-month deployment/surge, but one of the birds was carrying a pilot … who happened to be carrying a ring for a very special lady!!! I heard from the family I was there to shoot for that he was planning to pop the question right then and there, so I had my friend hop on over to Channel 47’s News Crew to key them in! They were THRILLED, so they waited … and waited … and waited for the moment!

It all happened so quickly … and I almost missed it! lol My friend cued me in, I spun around …he dropped to one knee, pulled out the ring box, and proposed …. somehow, I managed to capture it all!!! It was soooo awesome to be able to be a part of it!!!

Isn’t that just completely and utterly RADTASTIC??!!??!! So exciting!!! I’m so glad that I got to be a part of this — what great timing!!! Congratulations you too!!

VFA-113 Fly-in | Welcome Home Stingers | 2009

Whew! Back to back is fun! I had to get just a few shots of the other family that I was with at the fly-in … part of VFA-113! Extremely adorable family, and they too look so much in love … ALL of them! They are just beautiful! The little one was very attached to his balloon — I don’t think I saw him let go once!!! The first shot is my absolute FAVE!!! Here’s my super short sneak peak … now I MUST be going to Anaheim! lol

VFA-22 Fy-In | Welcome Home “Fighting Redcocks” | 2009

I was up at the hangar this morning … shooting back-2- back fly-in’s … VFA 22 and VFA 113! As always, it was nothing short of AWESOME! I have to hit the road here in a few … but I couldn’t help but post two shots for Julie & Kevin — they are so beautiful and so sweet … and they look so much in love!
